New web site finally goes online, still a few pages to finish.

Flying may not be plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price.”

St David’s College SILENT FLIGHT is a radio controlled glider club based in North Wales UK. We are affiliated to the BMFA as a Youth Group, and we have about 20 members aged between 11 - 18. The club’s main interest is Slope Soaring, we also fly electric and thermal occasionally. Many of our members also build model sailing boats and are currently planning a live steam scale narrow gauge railway. The web site is hopefully going to change regularly so keep checking for new stuff. If you do have any comments or queries about our site please get in touch.

Initial flight test have been promising. The kit is available from The price is very reasonable, the design is essentially a clone of the Multiplex Merlin. It is 800mm wing span and made from EPO. There are 2 servos in the fuselage driving the all moving tail and also the rudder. The ailerons have one servo each allowing for spoileron mixing.

After a long period this year of easterlies the wind has swung back to a milder southerly direction. This has enabled us to fly the 'Hang-glider slope' which has good views up the Conwy Valley.
